Privacy Policy

Watchtower NS is designed to provide public incident awareness while protecting privacy. This policy explains what data is shown and how privacy is preserved.
1. Public Feed Data
The live feed displays incident type, status, agency information, and generalized locations. Exact addresses are not displayed.
2. Location Generalization
All public locations are intentionally offset within a 2–3 km radius. The true location is always inside the circle but never at the center.
3. App Usage
Push notification tokens are used solely to deliver incident updates. They can be revoked at any time by uninstalling the app or disabling notifications.
4. Data Retention
Public incident data is refreshed frequently and may be removed at any time. Cleared or cancelled incidents are shown briefly before being removed from the public feed.
